The Boys Development Centre Programme exists to replace the previously known ‘District Cricket’.

The program is open to boys who are not currently part of the county pathway at Warwickshire. Its goal is to bridge the gap between club cricket and county age group cricket. The program provides a comprehensive winter coaching experience and includes games during the summer.

Boys Development Centre Cricket is operating during the February and Easter half terms at King Edward’s School and the Edgbaston Indoor Centre.

We currently run our boys’ development centre cricket for U13 (U12 and U13) and U15 (U14 and U15) age groups.

We are aware that players progress at different rates..

and therefore at the older age group we will be able to see players for a longer period of time at a performance level. This allows county and DCC coaches to observe the best club players for an additional year and keeps 16-year-olds playing cricket for an additional year post-GCSE examinations.
