Affiliation

Affiliation is the process by which clubs are accepted as regulated members of the cricket community. By affiliating your club with the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation, you establish a working partnership with us, and the ECB.

 

 

Affiliation provides clubs with a variety of benefits, including club support, funding opportunities, and national club competitions. Any club that competes in the Birmingham and District Premier League, Warwickshire County Cricket League, Cotswold Hills League, or Arden Sunday League must be affiliated.

Affiliation for the 2024 season is £95 and the affiliation forms can be requested from either Nita Chagar or Richard Evans.

From 2024, affiliation introduces a number of basic requirements that clubs must meet and adhere to.

By affiliating to the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation clubs agree to:

  • Adopt and enforce the Anti-Discrimination Code and accept the clubs obligations under the General Conduct Regulations
  • Accept the jurisdiction of Warwickshire Cricket Foundation to enforce both the Anti-Discrimination Code and General Conduct Regulations
  • Ensure all participants agree to comply with and adopt the ECB Safeguarding and Protecting Children Policy
  • Register on Safe Hands Management System
  • Recognise and abide by any penalties imposed under the above policies
  • Have a compliant club constitution in place
  • Have a qualified Club Safeguarding Officer appointed.
  • Provide proof of insurance to a value of £5 million of Public Liability cover and £10 million Employers Liability cover

  • Allocated WCF Officer who will provide relevant assistance to the Clubmark accreditation and re-accreditation process
  • Club Development and funding application support
  • Eligibility for WCF Youth Competitions

  • Reward and recognition events, eg Grassroots Cricket Awards and the Celebration of Cricket Dinner
  • Seminars and workshops
  • Regular correspondence and updates on cricket development opportunities
  • Offer of 50 tickets from WCCC for a domestic home Royal London One-Day Cup game
