In collaboration with the Heart of England Community Foundation, we are funding 46 weeks of cricket coaching in the Balsall Common area for adolescent girls aged 11-16 who are physically inactive and on the waiting list for well-being services.

These sessions will be accessible to all individuals, with a focus on the enjoyment of playing cricket for participation over competition.

We will work with 5 individuals from Balsall Common to ensure the project’s sustainability and partner with Berkswell Cricket Club to provide exit paths for the females to continue their cricket journey if wanted.

According to research, young people who experienced the pandemic are more likely to experience depression and a decline in general mental well-being; our programme is designed to target individuals on waiting lists and use cricket to help them feel happier and more confident.
