Cricket Cities

The Cricket Cities programme follows four main community pillars: listen, form relationships, provide support, and establish urban hubs to boost cricket participation in Birmingham.

Through Warwickshire Cricket Foundation’s Cricket Cities programme, diverse communities in urban environments are given opportunities to interact, grow, and develop crucial community cohesion.

Every week the Foundation’s community team delivers several cricket cities programmes. You can learn more about some of the programmes we deliver below.

Ark Victoria Academy

The Warwickshire Cricket Foundation hosts weekly softball sessions for both girls and boys at Ark Victoria Academy.

Community Day

Every year we host a Community Day for children from local schools to raise awareness of local cricketing opportunities.

Glow in the Dark

We run Glow in the Dark cricket programmes every year, involving after-school cricket sessions finishing with a cricket festival.

Community Softball

We hosts women’s community softball festivals regularly on Saturdays at Edgbaston Indoor Centre.

ESOL

We provide cricket sessions for ESOL (English to Speakers of Languages) Ladies at South & City College’s Bordesley Green Campus.

Cricket and Fitness

We run fitness sessions mixed in with cricket aimed to ignite a passion for the sport as well as working on improving fitness levels.

Faith Cups

Every year the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation hosts Faith Cups to celebrate Ramadan and Vaisakhi.
