Faith Cups

Every year, as part of the South Asian Core Cities programme, WCF Faith Cups are held, including those for Ramadan and Vaisakhi.

Warwickshire Cricket Foundation hosts two faith cups every year.

Every April, the Vaisakhi Cricket Cup is held at the Indoor Centre. It is a competitive one-off event with over 80 competitors.

The Ramadan League is an indoor open-age league held throughout Ramadan. The event is played using a tape ball, and the winners compete in a national final.

We want to make cricket and Edgbaston accessible to everyone and that means having to think more creatively about the programmes we run. The Ramadan Midnight League is an example of this. We’re staying open late at night to accommodate players who are observing Ramadan, and we’ve invested in coaches to deliver the sessions and provide travel to and from players’ homes.
