Warwickshire Cricket Foundation runs a Glow in the Dark cricket programme, consisting of after-school cricket sessions leading to an end-of-term cricket festival.
As part of WCF’s South Asian Core Cities programme, schools participate in after-school cricket sessions for the final ten weeks of the autumn term.
At the festival, all games are played in the dark with UV-reactive equipment and luminous coloured clothing to create an incredible glow-in-the-dark effect, while music plays throughout. Each school receives bibs, sweatbands, and face paint in a different fluorescent colour, while the stumps, bats, and balls are all taped to glow in the dark.
