I am responsible for delivering the Wicketz programme in the West Midlands, which is a cricket initiative for young people aged 8 to 19 living in disadvantaged communities. The Wicketz programme in the West Midlands includes Birmingham, Dudley, Kidderminster, Redditch, and Worcester. My role is to create weekly community cricket hubs to increase participation and remove barriers to participation.
In my spare time, I play cricket for West Bromwich Dartmouth Cricket Club, who won Division 2 in 2023 and will now compete in Division 1 in 2024.
Wicketz is a challenging and rewarding job. Every week, I provide opportunities for young people to attend free cricket sessions without needing to pay for any equipment.
