Working with The Bob Willis Fund, we use the power of sport to promote greater health awareness across our communities.

In 2025, we delivered our walking cricket sessions for men over 50 in Coventry and Handsworth, and we hosted three prostate cancer testing days at local clubs, Stratford Cricket Club, Knowle & Dorridge Cricket Club, and Sutton Coldfield Cricket Club, all made possible through funding from The Bob Willis Fund.

By engaging men in familiar community settings, we’ve encouraged open conversations about prostate health while supporting physical, mental, and social wellbeing. We’re proud of the impact so far and look forward to continuing this vital programme in 2026, reaching even more men.

Thanks to our collaboration with The Bob Willis Fund, we’ve been able to reach over 200 men in 2025 alone. Early detection saves lives, and together we’re ensuring that communities across Warwickshire have access to vital health checks while honouring Bob’s incredible legacy.

Prostate cancer is the number one diagnosed male cancer in the UK, killing 12,000 men a year.

1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, rising to 1 in 4 for Black men. With no national screening programme in place, we work with The Bob Willis Fund to deliver walking cricket sessions that raise awareness of prostate cancer while helping men stay active, social, and connected to the sport they love.
