Volunteers are the lifeblood of recreational cricket in Warwickshire; without them, the game would simply not exist.

The majority of our county’s clubs, leagues, and associations are run by ‘volunteers’ rather than paid individuals.

Volunteering is not only important for cricket, but it also benefits the volunteers. There is nothing more rewarding than helping people to learn new skills on and off the cricket field.

Recognising the importance of volunteers in recreational cricket is important. Warwickshire Cricket Foundation hold an event called The Cricket Collective Awards every year to invite very special groups of volunteers to Edgbaston, present them with their awards, and hear their inspiring stories.
