The Warwickshire Access Team represents Warwickshire in disability cricket. The team trains on Saturdays at Edgbaston Indoor Centre and competes in the Super 9’s and D40 competitions.
The Super 9’s programme is an entry-level cricket format for more experienced players participating in county-level disability cricket. The competition is played with a soft ball to offer players a level of safety.
The Warwickshire Access team won the 2023 Super 9’s competition defeating Derbyshire. This year the team have competed in the D40 format for the first time. D40 is a premium offer of domestic county-level disability cricket using a hard pink cricket ball.
The most important thing is ensuring these players have access to cricket, providing them with a fun, enjoyable, and competitive experience every time.
