The Access team train at Edgbaston Indoor Centre on Saturday mornings during the winter and play in the Super 9’s and D40 leagues.

The Super 9’s programme is an ECB-backed entry-level cricket format for more experienced players participating in county-level disability cricket. The competition is played with a soft ball to offer players a level of safety.

The Warwickshire Access team are the current 2023 Super 9’s champions defeating Derbyshire in August; this year the team will compete in the D40 format which is a premium offer of domestic county-level disability cricket using a hard pink cricket ball.

2023 was an amazing year for the Access Team in Warwickshire, but I am confident that 2024 will be even bigger and better. Entering the D40 competition for the first time will be a challenge for the players, but I, along with the other coaches, will be there for them every step of the way.
