In Warwickshire, there are plenty of opportunities to take part in regular competitive hardball cricket.<\/h3>\n

We support women\u2019s teams of all experience levels across Warwickshire and Birmingham. Teams can enter one of three leagues, depending on ability and skill level, you can find out more about each league below.<\/p>\n

In addition, a mid-week Hundred Ball competition runs alongside the ECB-run The Hundred.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Women’s Hardball Development League<\/h2>\n

Our entry-level hardball league is designed for female cricketers who are new to hardball cricket or looking to play against others of a similar standard. Many teams in this league have progressed from a few years of softball cricket and are ready for a new challenge.<\/p>\n

Matches are 8- to 11-a-side and can be played as Pairs cricket (16\u201320 overs) or T20s. The format and number of players must be agreed in advance by the team captains, with teams kept equal in size.<\/p>\n

Games are usually played on Sundays, but more local fixtures can be arranged on weeknight evenings. All teams are based in Warwickshire.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

West Midlands Counties League<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This league is a stepping stone for teams with a few years\u2019 experience in the Hardball Development League who want to challenge themselves before moving into the Women\u2019s West Midlands League, which involves more travel, longer formats, and players with county experience.<\/p>\n

Matches are played in a longer format under traditional rules (30\u201335 overs), with T20 games also included. Fixtures are played on Sundays, 11-a-side. Teams are grouped regionally within the West Midlands, with Warwickshire and Worcestershire sides placed together.<\/p>\n

The winner of this league progresses to a play-off against the Staffordshire\/Shropshire league champion for a place in Division 2 of the West Midlands Women\u2019s League.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Women’s Hundred Ball Cup<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Our newest offer for hardball clubs, the Women\u2019s Hundred Ball Cup is perfect for Warwickshire-based teams that play limited cricket throughout the summer and want more local, competitive matches.<\/p>\n

The competition is played in a 100-ball format, 11-a-side, under traditional cricket rules. Matches take place during the later summer months of July and August. Similar to The Hundred, this is a knockout competition, culminating in an eliminator and finals day in August or September.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Women’s League <\/b><\/h2>\n

This league is split into three divisions: Premier (the \u201cBirmingham League\u201d of women\u2019s club cricket), Division 1, and Division 2. Players in this league are typically the most experienced female hardball cricketers in the region, with many teams including Warwickshire pathway players.<\/p>\n

Matches are played on allocated Sundays throughout the summer and consist of 40 or 45 over games under traditional cricket rules. The league covers the entire West Midlands region.<\/p>\n
