{"id":4461,"date":"2024-03-27T16:32:13","date_gmt":"2024-03-27T16:32:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edgbaston.com\/foundation\/?p=4461"},"modified":"2024-04-26T12:15:15","modified_gmt":"2024-04-26T11:15:15","slug":"edgbaston-cricket-education-open-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edgbaston.com\/foundation\/2024\/03\/27\/edgbaston-cricket-education-open-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Edgbaston Cricket Education Open Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Warwickshire Cricket Foundation and Sandwell College have announced a special Open Day to showcase its Edgbaston Cricket Education Programme.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking place on Thursday 4<sup>th<\/sup> April, 3pm-5pm, the open day is designed for prospective 2024\/25 academic year students who are seeking a career in professional sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested students and parents will be able to speak and question lecturers and coaches and have the opportunity to work in the Edgbaston Indoor Cricket Centre with coaches from the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having launched in September 2021, the Edgbaston Cricket Education Programme is a collaboration between Warwickshire Cricket Foundation and Sandwell College that is aimed at aspiring male and female cricketers who seek an opportunity to develop a career in the game, which could be in coaching, marketing, sports psychology, nutrition, and a range of other professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme offers a unique opportunity to learn, train and play cricket at the world famous Edgbaston Stadium and learn from professional coaches staff and players at Warwickshire County Cricket Club. The experience&nbsp;on the Edgbaston Cricket Education Programme includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BTEC Level 3 Sports Coaching and Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Level 2 Fitness Instructing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Level 3 Personal Training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential progression to University and Careers in Physical Education Teaching, Physiotherapy, Cricket Coaching and Sport Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training sessions in world class facilities with professional coaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To book your place, please email&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:thomas.hayward@sandwell.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">thomas.hayward@sandwell.ac.uk<\/a> or <a href=\"mailto:joshuahowells@edgbaston.com\">joshuahowells@edgbaston.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Warwickshire Cricket Foundation and Sandwell College have announced a special Open Day to showcase its Edgbaston Cricket Education Programme.
