Stratford Cricket Club hosted a vital community health initiative today, as\u00a056 men attended a free Prostate Cancer Testing Day\u00a0aimed at raising awareness and promoting early detection among men aged 50 and over.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The event was delivered in partnership with the\u00a0Bob Willis Fund, offering\u00a0free PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) tests from 10am to 7pm. With\u00a01 in 8 men diagnosed with prostate cancer, and this risk rising to\u00a01 in 4 for black men, the testing day served as a crucial step towards encouraging proactive health checks and greater public understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the combined efforts of\u00a0Stratford Cricket Club, the\u00a0Bob Willis Fund, and the\u00a0Warwickshire Cricket Foundation, attendees were welcomed into a supportive, well-organised environment that ensured a smooth and accessible testing experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt has been a brilliant day, a true team effort between the Bob Willis Fund and the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation. We\u2019ve seen an incredible turnout, with so many men taking that vital step to get tested. The atmosphere has been very supportive and positive. We\u2019re proud to be making a real difference. A big thank you to Stratford Cricket Club for opening up their facilities and hosting us.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Following the success of this event,\u00a0four additional testing days\u00a0are now planned at cricket clubs across\u00a0Warwickshire and Birmingham\u00a0as part of the ongoing collaboration with the\u00a0Bob Willis Fund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
