{"id":8294,"date":"2025-07-17T10:06:01","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T09:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edgbaston.com\/foundation\/?p=8294"},"modified":"2025-07-17T10:06:22","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T09:06:22","slug":"young-leaders-and-young-cricket-officials-course-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edgbaston.com\/foundation\/2025\/07\/17\/young-leaders-and-young-cricket-officials-course-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"Young Leaders and Young Cricket Officials Course announced"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We&#8217;re excited to share that next month we&#8217;ll be running a Young Leaders and Young Cricket Officials (YCO) Course, designed to equip 14\u201318 year olds with the skills and confidence needed to umpire and score in cricket.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme is completely free and involves face-to-face training in which you learn how to umpire and score before putting your new skills to use in matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s an excellent opportunity for 14-18 year olds who want to learn more about cricket, help out at their local club, or gain useful skills towards a volunteer scheme (such as Duke of Edinburgh).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, we successfully ran two courses at Dorridge Cricket Club and Leamington Cricket Club, with a total of 29 participants taking part across the two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This year&#8217;s course will take place at Solihull Blossomfield Cricket Club on Friday 15th August, from 9:30am to 3:30pm: <a href=\"https:\/\/booking.ecb.co.uk\/event\/a743bece-45b9-451f-816e-6f0e90d76e23\/summary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">click here<\/a> to register.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re excited to share that next month we&#8217;ll be running a Young Leaders and Young Cricket Officials (YCO) Course, designed to equip 14\u201318 year olds with the skills and confidence needed to umpire and score in cricket.
