At the heart of the strategy which runs through to 2029 is WCF\u2019s mission to provide diverse, high-quality opportunities for people to engage with the many facets of the cricket world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This mission supports a long-term vision to be a leading force in making cricket accessible and enriching for all, fostering a deeper connection with the sport\u2019s opportunities both on and off the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new strategy explains how WCF will deliver on this through three key aims: promoting physical and mental wellbeing, championing skills and training, and inspiring communities through Edgbaston Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These aims are supported by seven pillars that shape WCF\u2019s work, covering Workforce, Women\u2019s and Girls, Accessibility, Cricket Clubs and Hubs, Community, Schools and Edgbaston Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The strategy also sets out a number of ambitious targets for 2029. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
By the end of the five year period, WCF aims to support 700 people each year through its training programmes, open five new grass pitches across the county and engage more than 52,000 young people annually through its primary and secondary school programmes, ambitions which build on strong foundations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last year WCF engaged 40,000 school children and trained 560 people in cricket-related roles, demonstrating both the scale and the potential of its impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at the launch, Fidelis Navas, Managing Director of the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation, said: \u201cToday marks an important milestone for the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation as we share our new strategy.
