ICC Champions Trophy 2013

India won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy at Edgbaston, beating England by five runs in the final after overcoming South Africa, the West Indies and Pakistan in the group stage, followed by a semi-final victory over Sri Lanka.

Ravindra Jadeja was the competitions leading wicket taker with 12 wickets, and Shikhar Dhawan the top scorer with 363 runs.

2018 Test Match v England

India toured England in 2018, playing a 5-match Test series the first of which was held at Edgbaston. Four days of hard fought Test cricket, including Virat Kohli’s 149, resulted in an England win by 31 runs as India fell short in their chase of 194 to win the match.

2019 Cricket World Cup

England needed to win all of their remaining group matches to qualify for the semi-finals, whereas India were top of the table.

Jonny Bairstow’s 111 from 109 set India a target of 338 to win the match and all but knockout England of their home World Cup, however tight bowling and Liam Plunkett 3-fer restricted India to 306, even with a Rohit Sharma 102.
