Including our community to make cricket a sport for all

Thursday 1 September, from 10am to 4pm – Edgbaston Stadium

Cricket is striving to open the sport up to everyone, showcasing it and changing people’s lives. This is true of the LGBTQ+ community too. We have come a long way, but this is a journey and we want you to be part of our journey to make cricket a sport for all.

You are invited to participate in the first ever LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Cricket Conference where you will learn about significant changes in LGBTQ+ engagement and participation in cricket and what this means for the game at national, county and local levels.

Free parking will be available on-site at Edgbaston on a first-come-first-served basis.

A game for everyone

We will tell you our stories, what progress has been made over the last two years and explain how you can get involved and put your club or county at the forefront of LGBTQ+ inclusion. There will also be opportunities to input into the development of new resources to help cricket become more inclusive as well as planning for next steps and how we can work together to grow the sport.

This event is aimed at staff & volunteers working in cricket with a responsibility for EDI, participation, engaging diverse communities, or for those who have an interest in creating a more inclusive game for the LGBTQ+ community.

Registration for this event is now closed. For any questions or enquiries, please contact lachlantsmith@gmail.com.
