More than 10,000 ticket holders from Edgbaston’s 2020 Major Match programme have chosen credit to secure priority access for the 2021 fixtures.

The ticket ballot for Edgbaston’s day/night One-Day International (ODI) between England and Pakistan on Tuesday 13 July opened on Wednesday morning, with record applications to date and, today, donating Warwickshire Members have the opportunity to purchase in their exclusive priority window.

The Birmingham venue is also providing a priority window for 2021 Warwickshire Members from 26 November to 2 December and the 10,000 plus purchasers from the 2020 Major Matches, who chose to have credit in the account, also having the chance to beat the ballot between 3 and 9 December.

Alex Perkins, Head of Commercial at Warwickshire County Club, said: “There’s going to be incredibly high demand for our programme of Major Matches in 2021 and it’s great that we initially reward our Members, supporters and ticket buyers, who have been able to help us during a very difficult time.

“We recommend that all cricket fans enter the ballot for the best chance to secure a place at England versus Pakistan.

“Discussions about further series are also continuing with the possibility of scheduling additional men’s bilateral cricket in June, including Test cricket. The ECB will be able to further progress these plans when the detailed scheduling arrangements for the World Test Championship Final, proposed to take place in June 2021, have been finalised by ICC.”
