Edgbaston Stadium will host the Bears Community Festival, supporting the Edgbaston Foundation, during the opening Vitality Blast fixture against Durham on Sunday 31 May.

Following the success of previous community days, the fixture is a chance to open the gates to Edgbaston and give the community the chance to catch the electric Bears T20 atmosphere.

Tickets for the Vitality Blast fixture, which starts at 2.30pm and will include a host of family-friendly activities, are available for just £10 for the first 2,000 purchasers, whilst under 16s go free at all domestic Edgbaston fixtures.

Supporters can get first access to tickets and secure their seat for only £10 by registering for our Priority Window, which opens for this fixture on Wednesday 26 February.

Tickets for all Vitality Blast games will go on general sale from 10am on Monday 2 March.

The Edgbaston Foundation, the official charity of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, will be raising funds on the day to support the work they do across the region.

Ravi Masih, Head of Community Engagement, said: “We’re delighted to be a part of the Bears’ opening home T20 fixture this summer.

“The first game is always an exciting time for supporters, young and old, and players alike. There is always a good crowd, and with the fixture taking place on a Sunday afternoon we hope we can get a big turnout for this incredible community festival supporting our charity the Edgbaston Foundation.

“Our aim as a charity is to ensure that everyone feels welcome at Edgbaston and this day is the perfect way to get together with family and friends and enjoy an afternoon of cricket and entertainment.”

Offering incredible value on the day, supporters should expect an action-packed afternoon of family entertainment and cricket, with gates opening two hours before the start of play at 12.30pm.

Free family entertainment, including inflatables and face painters, will be on offer as will a carnival atmosphere with live music and bands entertaining the crowd. Bears players will also be signing autographs following the match.

The match will conclude around 5.15pm, with a 15-minute interval. Ticket holders will have flexibility to come and go as they please throughout the day.

Supporters can register for the Priority Window online at birminghambears.com/priority.

Tickets for all seven home Vitality Blast games in 2020 will go on general sale from 10am on Monday 2 March online at edgbaston.com, by calling 0121 369 1994 or in-person at Edgbaston Stadium.
