The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the full domestic fixture programme for 2017, which includes Warwickshire versus Lancashire at Edgbaston on Monday 26 June in a historic first round of day/night matches in the Specsavers County Championship. Warwickshire begin the Specsavers County Championship season away to Surrey at the Kia Oval on Friday 7 April, before playing their first home game at Edgbaston a week later against Yorkshire on Friday 14 April.

As a squad we will work hard throughout the winter and go about our business nice and quietly. We’ve started the pre-season very well and will build on that because we want to be mentally and physically tougher than we were last year

Ian Bell, WCCC Captain

This year’s Royal London One-Day Cup has been brought forward to the spring – meaning all the group matches will be played before the ICC Champions Trophy in June – with Warwickshire’s home games on Bank Holiday Monday 1 May v Durham, Friday 5 May v Notts Outlaws, Sunday 7 May v Lancashire Lightning and Sunday 14 May v Yorkshire Vikings.

Birmingham Bears 2017 NatWest T20 Blast home campaign will begin with our first ever Saturday night fixture, against last year’s tournament semi-finalists Notts Outlaws. The Bears’ have been given a superb allocation of games at Edgbaston in 2017, with all seven matches to be played across weekends.

Ian Bell has said “As a squad we will work hard throughout the winter and go about our business nice and quietly. We’ve started the pre-season very well and will build on that because we want to be mentally and physically tougher than we were last year and ready to go at the start of the season”.
