Sports fans can secure tickets to Edgbaston’s programme of Major Matches in 2021, with the ticket ballot now open for England’s ODI versus Pakistan.

Edgbaston will host the men’s world champions in a day/night ODI versus Pakistan on Tuesday 13 July, before the Birmingham venue subsequently hosts the biggest day in domestic cricket, Vitality Blast Finals Day on Saturday 18 September.

The fixture dates are provisional and subject to change, but fans can book with confidence with our Ticket Refund Guarantee. This ensures that purchasers will get a refund if the fixture or their tickets are cancelled, or if they are unable to attend a match they purchased a ticket for because of a change in date.

Edgbaston will once again be running a public ticket ballot for the England versus Pakistan fixture due to the expected high demand, which will be the best way to secure seats. The ballot is now open at edgbaston.com/ballot and will close at 5pm on Friday 11 December.

Successful applicants will be given an opportunity to purchase their seats the following week, before tickets go on general sale from 10am on Tuesday 12 January.

“We’re thrilled to confirm these initial two Major Matches in the 2021 summer and to give the West Midlands two fantastic sporting days to look forward to after a very difficult year.

Alex Perkins, Head of Commercial

“Given the increase in ballot applications over the last two years, we do expect demand for tickets to be incredibly high. Warwickshire Members will once again get first priority and Membership remains the best way to get guarantee access before any ballot or on-sale process.”

Discussions about further series are also continuing with the possibility of scheduling additional men’s bilateral cricket in June including Test cricket. The ECB will be able to further progress these plans when the detailed scheduling arrangements for the World Test Championship Final, proposed to take place in June 2021, have been finalised by ICC.

Vitality Blast Finals Day is not included in the Major Match ticket ballot due to the high number of 2020 purchasers who chose to roll over their seats to the 2021 event, taking place on Saturday 18 September.

All remaining tickets for this match day will initially be released to Warwickshire Members and 2020 Major Match ticket buyers who chose to take credit. Any tickets remain following these priority booking windows will be released when general sale begins on Tuesday 12 January.
