Warwickshire 173 all out
Match abandoned as a draw
Leicestershire 9 points Warwickshire 6 points

Warwickshire’ s latest 2nd XI Championship match against Leicestershire went the way of much of this season’s cricket, being abandoned for rain after more than two days’ play was lost to the weather.
On the opening morning, after winning the toss and batting, Porterfield was bowled by Sheikh off the first ball of the match.

Westwood 28 and Javid 29 added 67 for the second wicket before both batsmen fell to Freckingham.
Lamb made 35 but the remainder of the Warwickshire batsmen struggled against the opening seam attack of Sheikh 5-50 and Freckingham 3-29 with Hannon-Dalby 17 from 45 deliveries the only lower order batsman to offer any resistance before the innings closed on 173 from 55 overs.

Rain prevented any further play in the late afternoon before Leicestershire could begin their reply and it continued to rain for the next two days resulting the match being abandoned as a draw.
