Today marks 50 days to go until The Hundred, and the new-look Birmingham Phoenix, return to action.
Fresh with a brand-new kit for the 2026 campaign, and several huge signings following The Hundred auction, it’s only 50 days until the Phoenix look to impress in the season-opening double-header at Edgbaston Stadium on Friday 24 July.
Early Bird tickets for all fixtures are still available.
To celebrate 50 days to go, several initiatives are taking place.
Birmingham Phoenix yesterday unveiled the Tape Ballers League, backed by global football star and Phoenix investor Jude Bellingham. The League is an exciting new initiative designed to inspire young people across the city to get active through fast-paced, accessible cricket.
On Saturday 6 June a relay run starting at Centenary Square and supported by local ROCUP running club, will take place throughout the city, with the Phoenix Flame being carried from Skechers, Bullring, through Birmingham city centre.
Taking inspiration from major sporting events including the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, the Phoenix Flame represents a shared unity with the city and was inspired by Birmingham’s industrial heritage. The torch has been entirely designed and constructed by Birmingham-based companies and creatives.
