Warwickshire County Cricket Club has announced that its 2021 Christmas Carols service for Members and supporters will take place at Edgbaston on Thursday 9 December and will support the Edgbaston Foundation’s Toys4Birmingham campaign.

Starting at midday in the Banqueting Suite, this year’s Carol service will be presided over by Charlie Butler, Curate at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Edgbaston. Charlie will be joined by two choirs on the day, including students representing Birmingham City University’s Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and pupils from St. Mary’s C of E Primary School in Selly Oak.

Having successfully launched Toys4Birmingham alongside Thrive Together Birmingham and Birmingham PlayCare Network to support some of the city’s most vulnerable children, the Edgbaston Foundation is asking Warwickshire Members and supporters to back the campaign at the Carols Service by donating n unwrapped new or nearly new toys, books, and craft items.

With three further collection days being staged at Edgbaston – on Saturday 27 November, Friday 3 and Saturday 4 December – members of the Warwickshire playing squad will subsequently deliver many of the gifts to supporting charities and community groups across the region.
