Warwickshire County Cricket Club has confirmed today that Alan Richardson and Chris Armstrong will leave the club by mutual consent as part of a coaching team restructure.
Richardson leaves Edgbaston after four seasons as bowling coach while Armstrong has departed the position of Head Strength and Conditioning—a role he held from February 2010.

Both leave the Bears having made a significant contribution to the success that the club has enjoyed in all formats during recent years.
Richardson, who also had a distinguished playing career with the club, joined the coaching team January 2014 as bowling coach, helping Warwickshire lift the NatWest T20 Blast trophy for the first time later that year, as well as the Royal London One-Day Cup in 2016.
Armstrong, who originally joined the club as performance analyst in 2007, was a key part of the back-room team which steered Warwickshire out of Division Two at the first attempt in 2008, and went on to win all three competitions over the next six years.
“We would like to thank Alan and Chris for all their efforts on behalf of Warwickshire County Cricket Club,” said Sport Director Ashley Giles. “The skills, ideas and commitment of both have played their part in the success that this club has enjoyed at Edgbaston in recent years and, while it is time for us to make a few changes to our management team as we look to the future, we are sure they will both go on to enjoy further success in their careers. We wish them all the best.”
