Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s new Bears Business Club staged its first networking event of 2022 with more than 60 guests visiting Edgbaston for the opening day of the county season versus Surrey.

Staged in the Edgbaston Banqueting Suite, Bears Business Club Members and Club partners got to hear from former England international, sport psychologist and Sporting Edge Founder, Jeremy Snape about how leadership in sport can translate to business.

Following lunch, Warwickshire Director of Cricket Paul Farbrace and Bears and England fast bowler Olly Stone took part in a question-and-answer session with long-standing Bears commentator Adam Bridge, of BBC and talkSPORT.

Scott Elstone, Commercial Partnerships Executive and lead of the Bears Business Club, said: “We want to use the Bears Business Club and the power of cricket as a catalyst for collaboration amongst local small and medium sized businesses.

“We’re thrilled to have such a great attendance and feedback from our opening event it gives us a great platform to move the Bears Business Club forward throughout the year.

“Up next we have a Cricket & Curry evening on Friday 10 June, which combines match day hospitality with the Bears Vitality Blast match at Edgbaston versus Yorkshire Vikings.”
