Warwickshire have unveiled an eye-catching new Metro Bank One Day Cup kit as they prepare to get their 50-over campaign underway next week.

The graffiti art-inspired shirt continues the popular styling of recent Vitality Blast seasons but in a fresh two-tone blue design.

It’s available now in the Club’s Store ’94 in adult sizes from Small to 3XL and junior from aged five to 14.

The new-look top was set against an historic Warwickshire backdrop as Bears fast bowler Che Simmons, wicketkeeper-batter Kai Smith, and Bears England Under-19 spinner Taz Ali modelled the shirts for a launch at Kenilworth Castle.

They were joined at the 11th Century castle – a site synonymous with the Bear & Ragged staff emblem – by Central Sparks due Georgia Davis and Katie George.

Warwickshire’s players will wear the kit for the first time at Essex on 24 July, before the Club heads to Rugby School on Friday 2 August where Surrey are the visitors for the start of the Rugby Cricket Festival.

It’s the first time in almost a decade the Club has played a senior game at an out-ground away from Edgbaston. 85 per cent of tickets have already been issued for the game and only limited tickets are now left.

Warwickshire Head of Supporter Services, Dan Clarke, said: “We’re always looking for ways to take the Bears out into the wider county and we’re really looking forward to making Rugby our home for three One Day Cup games.

“We’ve issued more than 2,000 tickets already for the first game there and it’s set to be a fantastic community occasion.”

“Kenilworth Castle provided the perfect backdrop for our One Day Cup kit launch. Some of Warwickshire’s stunning history alongside our young players, the future of our Club, who will hopefully be making a name for themselves in the One Day Cup.”

Warwickshire return to Rugby School on 11 August to face Yorkshire and again three days later against Nottinghamshire.

Roderick Bradley, Co-Founder of PlayerLayer who have designed the shirt, said: “The new kit is another showcase of Warwickshire’s creativity. It is a variation on one of our all-time great designs, based on the graffiti mural at Edgbaston.

“The kit, along with all of the team training range, is manufactured using 100 per cent recycled material which is a symbol of the partnership’s commitment to developing products with the environment front of mind. We can’t wait to see it in action.”
