Warwickshire County Cricket Club has revealed that it’s 2004 County Championship-winning captain Nick Knight will host the club’s sold out Champions Dinner at Edgbaston on Thursday 4 November.

Taking place in the stadium’s Banqueting Suite, Knight, who made 397 appearances across all formats and won five trophies in a 12-year career with the Bears, will host the Gala Dinner, which will recognise the achievements from all Warwickshire teams in the 2021 season.

“I love coming back to Edgbaston every year, through my work with Sky, and it’s a great honour to be asked to come back to host the Champions dinner,” said Knight.

“There is no doubt that the Championship is the biggest prize in the county game and it takes a very special team to be crowned Champions at the end of such a gruelling season. Very few tipped this Warwickshire side at the start of the season, but they have put in some fantastic performances and have firmly established themselves as the best red ball team in the country.

“It should be a fantastic event at Edgbaston on 4 November and I’m looking forward to hosting the celebrations.”

The Champions Dinner will start with a drink’s reception in the 1882 Suite at 6pm, followed by a three-course gala dinner and end of season awards presentation. The event is now sold out so sadly no further tickets can be purchased.
