Members of the Warwickshire squad will take to the field at St. Andrew’s this Sunday during the interval of the ‘Second City Derby’ between Birmingham City and Aston Villa in the Sky Bet Championship.

Following a kind invitation from Blues’ Director Panos Pavlakis, club captain Ian Bell and several other members of the Bears’ squad will parade the Royal London One-Cup at St. Andrew’s during the interval.

The Second City Derby is one of the most eagerly awaited matches in the Edgbaston changing room, with supporters of both teams in the Bears’ squad. Opening batsman Ian Westwood is a lifelong Bluenose whilst Ian Bell and Chris Woakes are both big Villa fans.

Sunday’s game – which kicks off at midday – will be the first league meeting between the clubs since 2011, with Blues currently sitting in seventh in the Sky Bet Championship and Villa in 16th. However, the visitors come to St. Andrew’s on the back of two consecutive victories under new manager Steve Bruce.
