Warwickshire County Cricket Club will celebrate the fantastic careers of Tim Ambrose, Jeetan Patel and Ian Bell at tomorrow’s Vitality Blast match at home to Notts Outlaws.

The three Bears retired from the professional game at the end of the 2020 season, having won multiple trophies across all three formats with the Club.

Patel and Bell will be in guests of honour for the game and will receive their silver Bears during the interval, which are presented to every player when ending their career at Edgbaston.

Having relocated to Australia, Ambrose will have a message for the Members and supporters on the big screen, which will also be played during the live stream.

“Tim, Jeetan and Ian made substantial contributions to one of the greatest Warwickshire teams in our history. Tomorrow night is an opportunity for our Club staff, Members and supporters to say thank you for their fantastic efforts as Bears.

Stuart Cain, Chief Executive

“COVID restrictions counted against us making formal presentations at the time of their retirements last year. However, we have proud traditions at this Club and we are looking forward to celebrating the great careers of all three Bears tomorrow night.”
