The schedule for next summer’s historic Vitality Blast season has been revealed – and fans can look forward to five Bears double-headers at Edgbaston as our Men and Women take centre stage together.

It’s the first time the Club’s new Bears Women side will compete in the Vitality Blast as one of eight Tier 1 teams in a new-look national structure for 2025.

And every one of their seven home games will be played at Edgbaston.

Bears Men and Women start their group campaigns at Trent Bridge on Friday 30 May, against Notts Outlaws and The Blaze respectively, before both entertain Durham on Saturday 31 May for Blast Off.

Blast Off will be the Bears Family Fun Day – hugely popular in 2024 – with an array of entertainment off the field for young fans.

Two more home double headers follow on Friday 6 June (Men vs Yorkshire Vikings and Women vs Somerset) and Sunday 8 June when Bears Men take on Derbyshire Falcons and Bears Women entertain Lancashire Thunder.

MidlandsMania comes to Birmingham on Saturday 14 June, the brand-new men’s double header that pitches regional rivals against each other at Edgbaston. The day starts with Falcons playing Leicestershire Foxes before Bears Men clash with Notts Outlaws in an evening game.

MidlandsMania tickets will go on general sale from 12 December, but fans can register now to get priority access at best prices.

And Friday 20 June is a date that will be firmly fixed in fans calendars as Blast derby day is back at Edgbaston when Bears take on near neighbours Worcestershire Rapids.

Bears Commercial Director Adam Lowe, said: “Fixture reveal day is always a big moment in the calendar for Bears fans – and even more so this year with some exciting new additions plus all the Bears Women games to look forward to.

“Bears Women enjoyed their launch party last night and a new high performance hub at the city end of the stadium, which will include a state-of-the-art gym, is now open. There’s a real buzz around the ground as they prepare for their debut season.

“It’s brilliant that Bears Men and Women will take top billing together at Edgbaston for so many double-headers next summer.

“MidlandsMania is a new men’s showpiece double-header event, with two Midlands rivals going head to head, and our huge local derby against the Rapids has been allocated a prime Friday night slot. That will be an evening not to be missed.”

Tickets for all games, including the Rapids derby, will go on general sale from 19 February. Fans can register to get priority access to tickets.
