Warwickshire CCC is a Club for everyone. We aim to be an inclusive and diverse cricket club, which is united in our game’s stance against any form of racism in sport or wider society.

Today at Edgbaston, the 11 Bears who took to the field in the opening men’s team Bob Willis Trophy match joined forces with their Northamptonshire counterparts to take the knee ahead of play.

Warwickshire CCC has been monitoring events closely since the development of the Black Lives Matter movement and has held detailed conversations with staff, at management and at Board level.

The Club has recently formed a staff inclusion and diversity working group, which has representatives from all departments of Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Edgbaston Stadium, and feeds into to the Senior Management Team and Board.

The Club will also release more information on its programme of inclusion and diversity activity as a central part of the Club’s new five-year strategy, which will launch later this year.

Whilst progress has been made in recent years, Warwickshire CCC is acutely aware that it must do more to better reflect the broad communities of Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands and to ensure that Warwickshire CCC is a cricket Club and venue for all.
