Warwickshire Cricket Board and the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is inviting representatives from local cricket clubs to a special open evening and information session on the new All Stars Cricket programme, which aims to inspire five to eight year olds to take up cricket and join your club.

Taking place in Edgbaston’s Banqueting Suite at 6.30pm on Wednesday 25 January, ECB Director of Participation and Growth Matt Dwyer will present the exciting new programme that will be launched this summer at recreational cricket clubs.

Ed McCabe, General Manager of the Warwickshire Cricket Board, said: “All Stars Cricket is a very exciting development for the recreational game, which will provide more opportunities for youngsters to play cricket and join a club at an earlier age.

“It’s a great programme that allows children aged five to eight years-old to acquire and develop the skills to play the game, but it connects them to their Birmingham Bears and England cricket heroes.

“In partnership, the Warwickshire Cricket Board and ECB will support our local clubs by providing everything that is needed to deliver a unique and fun experience for children and their parents to get involved in the game.”
