Warwickshire's first-team and coaching staff visited a Members Nets sessions to thank them for their support.
Joined by the Championship trophy, the squad met the keen cricketing Members in the Edgbaston Cricket Centre following their indoor training session.
“We always try to talk and meet our Members as much as possible,” said First Team Coach Mark Robinson.
“They give us fantastic support and I’m sure our success last season will have given them joy during some difficult times throughout the world.
“It’s great to see their passion for cricket, it really is an infectious game, and I’m pleased that everyone who was able stay around after a tough session to talk did.”
The Edgbaston Cricket Centre is a hive of cricketing activity throughout the winter with international stars and Members working hard on their respective game.
During last week’s session, The Members were improving their skills ahead of a busy summer, whilst England all-rounder Moeen Ali was continuing his preparation for the upcoming Indian Premier League campaign.
Taking place from 1pm until 3pm every Thursday, open net sessions are available to all Club Members of all abilities, with a bowling machine also available to use which is operated by Edgbaston Cricket Centre coaches.
Members with limited playing experience can learn the basic techniques of batting and bowling from the coaches whilst also being able to experience facing a bowling machine just like Warwickshire’s Championship-winning squad.
The two-hour sessions cost £5 per person and please come ready changed in sports clothing. We welcome all Members and are operating to the current guidelines.
