Warwickshire County Cricket is playing its part in an online charity cricket auction supported by all 18 First Class counties in partnership with the ECB, PCA and MCC.

A catalogue of 62 lots from across the professional game are now open for bidding at cricketauction.co.uk, where cricket fans can secure international match hospitality experiences at Edgbaston, in addition to Lord’s, Kia Oval, Trent Bridge, Emerald Headingley and Emirates Old Trafford.

The Bears have also offered a unique T20 experience with the playing squad, whilst Glamorgan, Leicestershire and Derbyshire have offered unique coaching sessions with their professional players and coaches. Sussex CCC have offered the use of their ground for a T20 fixture.

Signed shirts from England internationals Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and Jack Leach are also amongst the lots

The auction forms part of the Together Through This Test campaign, cricket’s co-ordinated response to Covid-19 that seeks to highlight initiatives across the professional and amateur game.

All donors have nominated a charitable cause to receive the proceeds from their lots, with Warwickshire CCC using its lots to further support Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity and the NSPCC Childline service in Birmingham; Club staff are already raising funds for these two charities through the 2.6 Challenge.

“There’s a huge sense of community and goodwill across cricket and we all saw an opportunity to collaborate for the greater good,” said Warwickshire CCC’s Head of Commercial Alex Perkins.

“We were initially approached by Nottinghamshire to get involved in this initiative three weeks ago, and were keen to do all that we could to support and to raise further funds for Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity and the NSPCC Childline service.

“Every single Club has joined the MCC, ECB and PCA by contributing lots and nominating causes that mean something to them. We hope that Bears Members and supporters and wider fans of the game will find a compelling reason to bid knowing that the proceeds will be donated to causes deserving of the game’s support.”
