Hello Bears fans - I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Over here with the Strikers in Adelaide, we are coming to crunch time in the Big Bash and tomorrow (8.15am, UK time) we have a huge game against Brisbane Heat.

With three games left, the table is ridiculously tight with six teams still vying for the qualification places. As so often in formats like this, it will be down to who finishes the group stage on fire. Hopefully one of the teams that does that will be us – we are certainly capable of it.

We have not been as consistent as we would have wanted to be, so probably need to win our last three games. Two wins might do it if other results went our way, but our destiny is in our own hands, as three wins would take us through, and that’s the way we want to keep it.

The Heat are in a similar position to us so tomorrow should be a cracking game. Then we have two games against Sydney Thunder, another team in the qualification mix. We are lucky that all our last three games will be at home, so we have that extra knowledge of the conditions and hopefully can exploit that advantage.

We have lost Rashid Khan which was a blow, of course – it is always a blow when you lose a player of that calibre. But we have other very good bowlers and we have been pretty consistent as a bowling unit throughout the tournament so are still feeling confident. We have also got a couple of Test players coming back into the squad now which will be great.

It was a joy to play alongside Rash again. I was lucky enough to play with him at Sussex too and he is not only a genius with the ball but also a lovely man who is always willing to offer his time to others. As a cricketer, you never stop learning and playing with Rash again and watching the way he operates has been fantastic.

This trip is so valuable for me in terms of learning. The T20 Blast in England is fantastic but you do play against the same teams every year, so you get to know opposing batters well. Here I have bowled in different conditions to different batters who have different approaches. That’s probably why my performances have been a little bit less even than they are over the course of a T20 back home, but I am pretty pleased with the way I’ve bowled.

I am loving it with the Strikers and now I just want to help them to go all the way in the tournament. It’s in our hands!
