Left-arm spinner Danny Briggs has signed a three-year deal with Warwickshire.

He has taken 568 wickets across all formats in an 11-year career in the professional game, which has seen him win two T20 Blast titles and a One-Day Cup with Hampshire.

He has also won seven T20 International (T20I) and one One-Day International (ODI) caps for England to date.

“It’s really exciting and it feels weird that it’s so far away for another season to start, because I’m looking forward to it that much,” said Briggs.

“I can’t wait to get going and I think I’ve still got a lot to offer in red ball cricket especially. I didn’t quite get that opportunity at Sussex and I think there’s a gap here for me to try and do well.

“There’s probably no place better to play than Edgbaston.”
