New for the 2019 season, Warwickshire’s Membership Services Team has launched its new Lunchtime Session; a new question and answer session with prominent former players and management staged in the Tom Dollery Lounge on selected Championship match days.

Starting on Wednesday 15 May (Day 2 of Warwickshire versus Hampshire in the Specsavers County Championship) the Lunchtime Session will be hosted by renowned sports broadcast and The Greatest Season author Pat Murphy, who will welcome Dennis Amiss as the opening guest.

In recognition of the 25th anniversary of the club’s treble-winning season in 1994, Murphy will welcome legends of the Bears campaign throughout the season with Tim Munton and Paul Smith joining on Tuesday 28 May (Day 2 versus Surrey) with Neil Smith and Dom Ostler confirmed for Monday 3 June (Day 1 versus Nottinghamshire).

Andy Nichol, Membership, Ticket and Retail Manager, said: “We’re constantly looking at ways of adding more value to our Membership and giving our most loyal supporters the best experience possible when they come to watch the Bears.

“Given the magnitude of the team’s achievement and the popularity of The Greatest Season book, we wanted to build on this by providing more opportunities to hear from those involved in the most memorable season of the club’s history.

“We’ve got one Lunchtime Session confirmed at each Specsavers County Championship match at Edgbaston this season and if it proves successful we will make it a fixed part of our Members’ calendar for 2020.”

The Lunchtime Session is completely free for 2019 Club Members and will start shortly after the interval has begun.
