Ostler will meet up with the squad in December alongside Tom Brown.
Warwickshire Women has appointed Bears legend Dominic Ostler as their coach.
Ostler, who spent 14 years at Edgbaston between 1990 and 2004, scored over 18,000 runs in all three formats and picked up eight winner’s medals.
The 48-year-old received his Warwickshire Cap in 1991 and a benefit year in 2000 which culminated in scoring 1,096 first-class runs at a career average of 49.81.
As a lifelong Bear, the opportunity to coach this generation of girls was a role that I could not turn down.

Ostler will be joined by Tom Brown and the pair will start with the squad in December. They will work with the players to equip them to be capable of finishing higher than 4th in the 50 over and T20 formats.
The current Berkswell CC captain, who led the team to their second Birmingham and District Premier League in three years this season, has previously coached the Warwickshire Women Under 17s.

“Dominic has an excellent past record of winning trophies and that experience will be vital in leading the team into an exciting new era.
“Dominic knows a lot of the girls already due to his work with the Under 17s so that should make the transition seamless.
“I’m delighted to be working with Dominic and can’t wait to see the side progress in the future.”
Dominic Ostler added: “I’m delighted to be returning to Edgbaston in such an exciting position.
“As a lifelong Bear, the opportunity to coach this generation of girls was a role that I could not turn down, especially as I’ve really enjoyed my experience with the Under-17s.
“I have been a part of some incredibly successful Warwickshire sides and working alongside Laura MacLeod, I hope to replicate that as a coach.”
