Five days of men’s Major Match cricket in the 2022 summer have already sold out at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Stadium.
Having announced a sell out of Vitality Blast Finals Day last month, tickets have now sold out for the opening three days of England men’s LV= Insurance Test Match between England and India, which was announced last month as the rescheduled final Test of the series from 2021.
Additionally, the subsequent Vitality IT20 also between England and India on Saturday 9 July has sold out.
Tickets remain available for Day Four of Test Match, which can be purchased online at tickets.edgbaston.com. Hospitality from Edgbaston’s official hospitality partner Keith Prowse remains available across all days of Major Match cricket in 2022.
Alex Perkins, Sales & Marketing Director at Edgbaston, said: “Edgbaston has the best fans in the world. Demand for tickets at our venue continues to grow year-on-year with interest from all over the country from fans who want to experience a major fixture at Edgbaston.
“While we appreciate that some fans may have been disappointed by the recent fixture changes, and we understand this has caused disruption for some, we have received overwhelming support and we again thank all ticket purchasers for their understanding during this period.
“We’re already looking forward to an exciting summer of not only domestic and international cricket next summer, but also the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games coming to the city next year.”
In addition to the seven-day programme of men’s Major Match cricket, Edgbaston will host the eight-day women’s T20 tournament in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. For ticket information, please visit birmingham2022.com.
