Edgbaston Stadium has announced a new digital media partnership with Ola, the international ride-hailing app for both private hire vehicles and metered taxis.

Founded in India in 2010 and operating across the UK, including in the West Midlands regions of Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry and Warwick, Ola is one of the world’s largest ride-hailing apps and will work with Edgbaston as one of its exclusive travel partners.

It will have a presence across the edgbaston.com website and new mobile app in the run-up to the upcoming Vitality Blast Finals Day on Saturday 3 October. Ola has also received promotional rights for Bears Den TV, the programme accompanying the live stream of Birmingham Bears Vitality Blast matches at Edgbaston.

Ola and Edgbaston will also work on projects to support delegates within the venue’s conference and events business and match day programme in 2021.

Ben Seifas, Commercial Partnerships at Edgbaston Stadium and Warwickshire County Cricket Club, said: “Ola provides a safe, secure and easy app for private transport to and from the stadium and thrilled to unveil this new partnership opportunity.

“We’re constantly looking at new ways to support commercial partners and having recently launched a new website and app and our accompanying live stream programme Bears Den TV, we’re very excited to announce this first digital only partnership. It has great potential to grow in the coming months.”
