The latest phase of Edgbaston’s ambitious Masterplan redevelopment has been realised with the launch of a new apartment complex.

Corkfield consists of 375 apartments – including studios to three-bed accommodation – underground car parking, 14,000 sq ft of retail space a spacious rooftop terrace overlooking the stadium.

More than 160 of the build-to-rent apartments have now been released to the market with the remainder coming on line next year.

It’s the culmination of seven years of planning and three years of construction.

Edgbaston Chief Operating Officer Craig Flindall said Corkfield is the latest step towards transforming Edgbaston Stadium into a leading, mixed-use destination with cricket and community at its core.

He added: “I’m delighted to celebrate the completion of Phase 2 of the Edgbaston Stadium Masterplan.

“Community is at the heart of the Corkfield development with a 20,860 sq ft landscaped courtyard, wellness studio, co-working spaces and pooch pods as it’s a pet-friendly complex.

“In addition, the Club’s works as part of the Masterplan included a new entrance piazza and car parking zones, totalling over 15,000 square metres.

“The Club would like to place on record its thanks to its development partner, Patrizia AG, main contractor Winvic Construction and the advisor team which included Wilson Owen Owens, Gowlings WLG, Savills, Arcadis & Quadro.

“We look forward to welcoming our new neighbours to Edgbaston stadium next season.”

The apartments range from £1,100 to £2,200 per month and include use of all amenities, maintenance and WiFi to each apartment. There is a 24-7 concierge, residents’ events programme and eight full-time staff will be based on site.
