Edgbaston plays host to a Family Fun Day on Saturday (8 June) with a packed programme of children’s entertainment alongside a cricket double-header with both the Bears and Central Sparks.

A Kids Zone featuring inflatables, entertainers, face painters, and balloon modellers will keep young fans amused from 10am to 5pm as part of the Fun Day, brought to you by Circle Health Group.

Children can also jump on board police bikes, police cars and a fire engine, try helmets on for size, and activate the ‘blues and twos’ sirens.

West Midlands Police officers and fire fighters from West Midlands Fire Service will be on hand from 2pm to 4pm to answer questions and demonstrate the array of onboard equipment.

The on-field action sees Central Sparks take on Northern Diamonds (11.30am) in the Charlotte Edwards Cup before the Bears look to maintain their strong start to the Vitality Blast season against Durham (3.30pm).

Stars of T20 cricket including England bowler Richard Gleeson and Pakistan pacer Hassan Ali will be on show.

And there will be an opportunity for fans to get player autographs and pose for photos with their favourite players during a signing session after both games.

Tickets for the whole day are just £5 for under-16s – with under 5s free – while adult tickets are only £18 when bought in advance.
