Following on from one of the biggest cricketing summers that the UK has ever experienced, Edgbaston Stadium has released tickets for its two England international fixtures in the 2020 summer on general sale.

Edgbaston hosts the second match of England’s Test series with West Indies, from Friday 12 June, and the second match of the One-Day International (ODI) versus Ireland on Saturday 12 September.

The reaction to this year’s summer of cricket has been phenomenal with sales for our 2020 Test match at Edgbaston at 10 times the level of pre-sales compared with when we last hosted West Indies in 2017.

The Birmingham venue has released tickets on general sale this morning, following a public ballot process and pre-sale windows for Warwickshire Members, previous purchasers for Major Matches at Edgbaston and We Are England Cricket Supporters members.

Alex Perkins, Head of Commercial at Edgbaston Stadium, said: “The reaction to this year’s summer of cricket has been phenomenal with sales for our 2020 Test match at Edgbaston at 10 times the level of pre-sales compared with when we last hosted West Indies in 2017.

“As a result, the public ballot and pre-sales window has left us with very limited availability for Day 2 (Saturday) of the Test, whilst we also expect tickets for Day 1 to sell out within the coming days.

“Given England’s exploits in winning the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and drawing the Ashes series, it’s fantastic to see the sport in such high demand and we do recommend that everyone who is keen to see England at Edgbaston in 2020 books imminently to avoid missing out on another great summer of cricket.”

Edgbaston’s summer of 2020 also includes Vitality Blast Finals Day, on Saturday 5 September, which was announced as a sell out yesterday. Supporters can register their interest for any Finals Day tickets released at edgbaston.com/registeryourinterest.
