Former England, Derbyshire and Essex all-rounder Geoff Miller is the guest speaker confirmed for the next meeting of the Midlands branch of the Cricket Society, which takes place at Edgbaston at 8pm on on Tuesday 23 November at Edgbaston.

Miller played 34 Tests and 35 ODIs for England in a nine-year international career, but also enjoyed 21 years in the county game, in two spells with Derbyshire as well as a short time with Essex.

Having joined the ECB as an England National Selector in 2008, he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2014 New Year Honours for services to cricket, following his retirement at the end of 2013.
