In partnership with our Official Hospitality Provider, Keith Prowse, we are delighted to announce that restaurateur and TV personality Glynn Purnell will be cooking up a storm in the Warwickshire Suite this summer.

A familiar face on TV show such as The Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen, Glynn became the first chef to earn a Michelin star for the city of Birmingham in 2005 and currently owns many restaurants in the area.

He will now be in the hospitality are for the Men’s Ashes Test (16-19 June), Men’s IT20 (3 September) and Vitality Blast Finals Day (15 July) at Edgbaston in 2023.

Beginning his career at 14, Glynn has extensive experience working in Michelin Star restaurants, owning Michelin starred Purnell’s for 16 years, and has training with many recognisable chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Gary Rhodes and Claude Bosi.

Delivering a specially design menu at the first four days of the Men’s Ashes, Finals Day and the Men’s IT20 between England and New Zealand, guests will be treated to an indulgent four-course menu incorporating a mixture of Purnell’s well-known classics and new, fresh dishes.

When asked about the Warwickshire Suite menus he has designed, Purnell said: “I always consider my own personal experiences, visuals, tastes and all the senses combined when creating a menu. I like to use flavours from when I was young and spark memories or emotions with every dish I serve.

“Guests in the Warwickshire Suite can expect fireworks this summer with classic seasonal food done in a contemporary, modern way. I can’t wait to show the guests what I have created.”
