Sam Hain believes it's important that the Bears take stock and head into a busy week well prepared.

Mark Robinson’s side sit third with four games remaining and with group leaders Northamptonshire Steelbacks (away) and local rivals Worcestershire Rapids (home) to play this week, it’s all to play for.

“Credit has to go to Derbyshire as they played considerably well,” said Hain who was scored 73 not out (40 balls, 7 fours, 1 six). “Looking back we were probably 15 to 20 runs short as it was a good deck. It’s important that we dust ourselves down, don’t look too much into it and come again next week.

“We need to take it one game at a time and don’t look too far ahead. We know there are a lot of strong teams in the North Group and it’s very tight.

“When we play our best cricket I don’t there’s that many who can beat us in the country so for us it’s about doing the basics right.”
