It was a special night for everyone at Edgbaston.

6,999 days since making his first appearance, Moeen Ali got the home fans standing and applauding as the opener struck his third T20 hundred (103) and first as a Bear.

It was in Simon Doull’s words ‘a clinic’. Moeen struck the first ball to the boundary – an exquisite cover drive – and motored through the gears thereafter. Reaching a half-century last week, the left-handed opener showed no sign of getting out, hitting to all parts of ground, with a variety of shots.

An amazing innings from an incredible player.
