Adam Hose praised his teammate's character following a tense finale at Derbyshire.

The Bears were on course for a comfortable victory, but a 48 run seventh and eighth wicket partnership, put the hosts back in the contest.

Needing six to win from three balls, Craig Miles held his nerve with Carlos Brathwaite’s side defending 201 and making it two wins from two.

“It’s these close ones where you learn about players, their skill set and their character,” said Hose – who top scored for the Bears with 55. “That’s what we’ve done tonight.

“He (Miles) has had a great night and he had one last night too. Credit to him as he showed a lot of character and hopefully he can do it again on Sunday!”
